I could use it and I could not. But I'd like to see it being implemented. Using a similar system to WoW's mail, would be awsome. Able to send Gold or items to offline people due to "trades/selling/buying" to messages to people would be great. " cant make it to tonight's GvG, and no ones online? send ur Leader a msg!"

Eh, I don't see this happening in GW1 due to limited server space.
I would assume that it would/should be a feature in GW2 though.

personally i like this idea, maybe make it like the system in 'kalonline' where you can mail people items, but attach a fee to the item, so if you're selling something via forums, just send them a mail with a price, the money gets wired back to you, they get the item, obviously let the item be shown on the mail window so they know its what they want.

WoWs mail system has a little spamming. But on wow the mods are very active so spammers normally get blocked after sending one e-mail. That way only big gold selling companies can afford the various accounts required to send spam. I don't know how this would work in GW. The reason spammers find out your name in WOW is a "search all players online" function called "Who" but GW has no option for this.
And for trading you'd have POD so when the item reaches your mail-box you can't put it into your inventory until you pay the required amount of gold which is then sent to the other player in a letter.
